Jackie and Phil are just pretty ordinary Aussie women. We're in our 50s (closer to 60 than 50 these days) but we love an adventure and a laugh.
Many people ask us when we're travelling about our adventures. They want to know how we found out about the places we go to and how to get around the out-of-the-way places we find.
And, or course, how to navigate the travelling itself.
We don't take the easy route - you'll see the blue hats on local buses; on trains; kayaks; ferries; trucks, bemos, horses, elephants, camels - if you can get from one place to another aboard it, we'll try it! (That's why we haven't bungy jumped yet - doesn't seem like you're going to get from A to B, unless B is the middle of the air hanging from a bridge!)
Anyway we stay in all sorts of accommodation, have all sorts of adventures and meet all sorts of amazing people.
Share our adventures with us.
PS. The amazing blue hats are made in Geraldton WA by our friend Murray Blythe. They are plaited from recycled blue baling twine.
WHO ARE WE
Blue hats on the beach at Geraldton, Western Australia. That's Phil on the left and Jackie on the right and the middle is Ruby, the newest inductee, raising her right hand to swear by the rules of the Blue Hat.
